Tie rods!

Ok hasn't found a How to tie rod inner and outer for our generation so I figure why not make one. If one already exists please let me know.

Questions: there's a thin metal brace around the nuts connecting the inner rid to steering rack. How doi get that off other than cutting it off... And if I mangle it where cani get another :)
Also outer tie Rod to knuckle... stubborn as allll hell. Iv been beating on it with a mallet and got nothing.. :( any tips?
