Hey...my first post.
I've spent a few hours researching the lowering options for my 2007 2.0T, but if I've missed the answer on here, please let me know.
I'm aware of the usual options (Eibach/H&R/Vogtland + Bilstein/Koni), but I get a big discount on OEM parts, so I thought I should investigate the possibility of using Saab parts. Specifically, installing the Aero suspension bits (at least the 10mm lower springs) from the 4-cylinder Aero versions ('03-'05, I think) on my 2007 2.0T.
So...
1) Are the 4-cyl Aero springs from '03-'05 a straight swap for my 2007 2.0T?
2) If yes, is there a specific spring color code I should/shouldn't use?
3) Are there other Aero bits that I can/must also use? e.g. sway bar
[fyi...Aero springs with Koni FSD's sounds like a good combo to me...I'm getting old and I have the 17" wheel combo, so the ride is already a bit rough/rubbery over uneven pavement. GS shock tower brace and subframe brace are going on next week.]
In case it makes a difference, my current suspension codes are:
Front spring = 41
Rear spring = 12
Front ARB = 4 (25.2mm?)
Rear ARB = 3 (17mm?)
Front strut = 61
Rear damper = 60
Cheers.
Mike
