Hello, New to the forum and Saabs in general. However, I have been chatting with a few folks in the new member introduction if anyone would like to see some pics and background on the car.
In any case, last week I picked up my first Saab - a 1985 900 16v Turbo ;ol;
Totally happy with my project car and have been cleaning it up and exploring all the quirks of the 900. For the most part it seems pretty mechanically sound. BUT... there is a LOUD air leak/hissing noise. It sounds like it's coming from around the brake master cylinder area. Doesn't seems to really be affecting the performance but as I am unfamiliar with the engine I can't say this for sure. It also continues for about 20 seconds when I shut off the engine.
Any ideas? Places to start looking or ways to diagnose it?
Thanks in advance and I appreciate the advice!
