saab hard start issue will run when reved for a bit

I just recently bought a 1999 saab 9-5 when cranking car wil start then die inless you hold accelerator for at least 6 seconds then it runs like a beast its very strang i thought it could be dic issues but once started it doesnt missit is throwing a camshaft position cel but the 9-5 do not have cam pos sensors
read on other forums that it is linked to dic but yeah im lost on this one i dont want to toss parts at it intill im somewhat sure guys any help would be wounderfull
