Ok so a couple days ago my girlfriend bought an 02 9-5 wagon with the 2.3T and got a great deal for a car in amazing condition. I have only 2 minor questions about the car. The previous owner had an aftermarket radio installed and only the front speakers work. I am yet to pull it out and look at the wiring behind the head unit but considered it my be like my audi where the the rear speakers have their own amplifier factory and receive a different signal from the rca ports. If this is true i can easily just build a connector for her car as I had for mine. The other question I have is about contaminated oil in the oil fill neck. The rest of the oil is fine and I already did an oil change, only the fill neck has the contaminated oil. Again, comparing to audi's, contaminated oil is very common in the breather hoses from the valve covers only in winter and does not affect any oil within the engine. During warmer weather or drives of 150 miles or more there would be no contamination. Usually I would build a separator and catch can within the hoses to solve this issue. Is it common for condensation to sit in the fill neck being the highest point for the oil to reach on these cars as well?
Any insight on these two thoughts would be greatly appreciated as well as any other common issues known to come with these cars. Thank you in advance!
