What do you make of this?
If I floor it from a stop, my boost, according to stock turbo gauge is just under the half way mark through the yellow. As speedo climbs into the 40mph range, feels like I get a little bit of push back from the motor while speedo climbs to 50mph... all the while during this type of launch the turbo gauge points to right under half way in the yellow.
Now...if I'm going 70mph or faster and floor it the turbo gauge will hit much higher getting 3/4 through the yellow.
In the 5K miles I've driven the car, I've never touched the red or been in the red.
My feeling is probably should be hitting at a minimum of 3/4 into the yellow most or all of the time under hard acceleration.
I have no frame of reference for how other "stock" T16's behave.
What is perplexing to me is that the boost is low at lower speeds, yet the boost is higher at higher speeds both when I have my foot hard on the gas pedal.
