Trying to dismantle a drive shaft assembly from a Viggen

I'm currently trying to disassemble a drive shaft assembly from a MY2K Viggen. I have the assembly out of the car, and clamps and gaiters loosened. But I cannot find a way to separate the drive shaft from the outer drive CV or inner drive tripod.

For the outer drive CV, the WIS states to:

2. Clean, remove the circlip and pull out the tripode from the shaft. use a suitable three-armed puller.

B235R: Bend out the plastic protector to remove the tripod from the tripod housing.

I wiped out most of the grease. But for the life of me, I cannot find any circlip or plastic protector. On the B205, you just slide the tripod off the end of the drive shaft and tripod bearing. But on the B235R, the tripod housing has a lip that prevents one from doing this.

For the outer drive CV, the WIS just says to tap the joint free using a plastic mallet. I clamped the drive shaft in a vise and tried this. No matter how much I hammer on it, it does not budge. In the EPC, it does show a spacer ring and lock ring (circlip) in the drive shaft assembly for the B235R. I see the spacer on the drive shaft, but I see no way to remove it.

On the regular B205R non-Viggen assembly, removal is easy, as there is a circlip accessible on the CV joint, in the 6-pointed star ring that attaches to the drive shaft. But no such circlip exists on the Viggen part.
