So I recently bought low beam HID's for my 03' 9-3. They work great. Have built in error cancelers and relays. Yes they do click after I turn the car off, but that subsides after a few minutes.
So I decided to go the eBay route for my fog lights considering there wouldnt be any SID bulb out error to bother me.
To date, I have a 40A relay installed, with error cancelers into slim HID ballasts and my relay STILL buzzes like crazy. The shop I bought my cancelers from are puzzled because the capacitor/error canceler usually remedies the strobing, bulbs not igniting, and the buzzing relay.
When the car is off, there is no buzzing from the relay with the fogs on. With the car on, fogs on, the relay goes crazy. I can hear it from inside the cabin too!
Has anyone had something like this happen before? Im at the stage where Im doubting my eBay ballasts and the relay so replacement seems inevitable. But then again, wouldn't hurt to check my wiring since I bought the car used.
