Yesterday I was on my way to pick my son up at school in Hartford in our 2005 Outback. As I was getting close to the PT Jeff ferry the exhaust got very loud from under the car. I searched the internet for a place that might be able to repair it. I found a place that had mostly very positive reviews called Pops Exhaust in Manchester. As I suspected it was the flex joint in the middle of the system. They had a few cars ahead of me and were also having their lunch break (which they always take between 12 - 1) but got me in at 1 and done by 1:45 for a reasonable cost. The original flex joint was the cone and flange type with springs/bolts. They welded in a new woven style part after cutting the old parts away. I was very happy to get it repaired quickly and at a reasonable cost. They do custom high end work as well as general repairs. I can recommend them highly.
