After searching and reading what I could on the Inter-web I decided to ask on here about this issue. About 3 months ago my 2001 9-5 wouldnt engage in reverse in a store parking lot, after mashing the gas and engaging the hand brake it eventually popped into gear and I havent had an issue again. But I also started to feel vibrations in my steering wheel along with an audible grinding noise (almost like my tire was rubbing on something) when I would turn my wheel. Now my alignment has gone to pulling me left so my steering wheel is now turned to the right for me to go straight and that grinding noise and feeling is ever present unless I straighten out my steering wheel. I've read what I could and people seem to point to the engine mounts needing to be replaced. Problem is I am no mechanic and I just removed my battery to look at the driver's side engine mount and I dont know what to look for to see if it, or any other mounts, need replacing. Does it sound like I could be on the right track? Any tips for diagnosing a bad mount? Any help, like always, is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
