V6 spark plug change

Changed the plugs, ignition coils, and cleaned the TB this weekend at 52k. I was actually a lot easier than doing it on the 9-3 V6. The WIS says to drain the coolant and remove the TB, but absolutely not necessary.

Undo the 6 bolts that hold the intake manifold on, and the other 4-6 bolts which hold the PS res, hard coolant line, and wiring harnesses on, the one bolt in the back of the manifold which holds the bracket for the manifold check valves, disconnect the TB electrical plug, clamp off the coolant hose on the left side of the engine where the water pump is, carefully lift off the manifold with the TB still bolted on and everything is right there.

You have to be a little careful with the hard plastic vacuum lines, but not as surgical as with the 9-3 V6.

I replaced the two manifold gaskets which were kind of expensive at about $25/each, but gave me peace of mind.

I know these are supposed to be 100k plugs, but I was told by a Swedish car mechanic, that waiting until then could cause problems. Plus, based on my experience with my TX, I know these engines eat coils.

I'm still baffled they switched from Bosch on the 9-3 V6 to Denso coils on the 9-5, but none of my sources can seem to answer why. But the Densos are almost half the price.

All I know is that is runs much smoother, is more responsive, slightly better mileage, and feel better about the eminent tune. All this for under $300.
