Ok, 98 900 se turbo convertible (manual) here, just had the clutch, slave cylinder and master cylinder replaced on it by a mechanic I know (not a specialized garage), since the clutch was starting to slip.
The guy gives me my car back, I take off, car feels great, great acceleration and shifting buuut..doesn't go into 5th gear! I take the car the car back to him right away, he does I don't know what with a long Allen wrench and car can now go through all gears normally (took 5 mins for him to do).
But..I take it for another spin, and now the 3rd, 4rd, and 5th gears make a grinding noise..:( . No problem switching gears and that noise only comes when I press on the accelerator (in those gears).
1st and 2nd gear feel and accelerate great but not the others, and that noise doesn't go away..
Looked a bit on this forum and read things like changing the transmission fluid or shifter adjustment..
What do you guys think?
Kinda strange that the car didn't do this the first time I got it back..
