Hi, this is my first post, but I've lurked here for a couple of years. Two years ago, I bought a 2001 9-3 SE in beautiful condition from the original owner with a stack of service records an inch thick. Other than some pixels out on the ACC, this car was flawless. Last week, someone rear ended while it was parked on the street in front of my apartment. The car was declared totalled, and I took the payout and bought it back at the salvage price.
The damage seems to be confined to the bumper and rear driver's side quarter panel, and I've found a non running '99 in the same color for 500 bucks. Would the rear bumper and quarter panel be a direct match between the two model years? I've found a body shop that I think will work with a donor car, and I was thinking that buying this car and scavenging these and any other parts I think I could use off of it might be cheaper than buying this stuff individually.
Any help is appreciated.
