Hi. I need to replace the pads on my 1990 C900i and it appears that the piston adjuster - allen key type, see link to caliper picture below - no longer works. While the adjuster turns and turns both clockwise and anti-clockwise, it has no effect on the caliper piston, which wont retract/wind back at all, preventing the fitting of new pads. I tried hammering the piston in gently to no effect.
Does anyone know of a trick to get the adjuster to work/engage again, or is this a case for a new caliper or a rebuilt? Many thanks.
