**Attention: Viggen Owners**

So lets talk about our Axles. I want to get this crystal clear, because so far Mark Sanchez has a better chance winning the Super Bowl then I do finding non-used axles for my Viggen. This is my first time dealing with Viggen axles/cv repair and I find it insane that I can't just pick up an entire assembly somewhere. I think I will quit modern SAABs in embarrassment if I have to tell people the CV joints totaled my car

To start I want to make sure we are all talking about the same thing here. If I get anything wrong, let me know. Im kinda focusing on the pass axle but i think they are the same.

Here is what I would call the crude setup of our Viggen Drivetrain. on the Passenger side of the engine the Passenger Axle is a separate piece from the intermediate shaft (if your lucky, i happened to be lucky).

Now closer photo of the axle assembly. Is the tripod bearing and the inner CV bearing the same thing?

Now my eEuroParts options are Companion Flange $246, Intermediate Shaft $229, Outer CV $235(cheaper $41), and the Inner CV Joint $177

If the inner CV is the same as the tripod bearing that makes our axles $1,899 for a complete set up without the cheaper outer CV. This is reusing our axle shafts and without the carrier bearing. IS THIS CORRECT?

Also if you find that your companion flange has a lip and the tripod bearing won't come out. Cut that lip off. I asked at the dealership and they said that was there just to keep it together during assembly. Apparently our Viggens are before the times of zip ties or other less permanent options.
