My Saab started to shutter while accelerating so I took it to my mechanic. He told me that 2 of my 4 ignition coils were misfiring and needed to be replaced. I have 255,000 miles on my Saab so he suggested that I go ahead and replace all 4 as the other 2 could go out at any time. So he went ahead and replaced all 4 ignition coils as well as all new spark plugs and wires. I picked my car up yesterday and after driving for about 30 mins the CEL came on. It wound up showing codes P0300, P0340, and P1340. I took it back to mechanic and he cleared the codes and said if the CEL came back on to call him, it came back on almost immediately so I am taking it back in next week. Is it a total coincidence that these codes show up after I got that work done or are they related to something he did? I don't want to pay him to do more work if he could have caused the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.
