After a long absence, I'm back playing with my saab. My v6 blew an oil cooler line about 2 yrs ago and the engine oil made a dramatic exit. I purchased a 3L motor (currently for sale!) but I've decided to pursue a 4cyl T5 swap.
Mechanically I'm all in. Already dropped the whole assembly with subframe and purchased a complete drop out from a 98 se on its subframe. I don't see any real issue mechanically, and have the skills to execute.
I'm worried about the T5 stuff. What's going to bite me here? Ripping out the motronic and putting in trionic?
I have the complete wiring harness and ecu from the donor car. Probably missing the some of the air intake stuff and bpc. I'll source those from the junkyard.
Anybody ever do this and can off some advice?
