I started a previous thread about buying a car and what to offer which yielded many great responses. Unfortunately it got off topic and I would like to focus on just this one car.
So, it's a 2006 9-5 sedan with 66,000 miles on it. Here is the original ad (notice the body damage): http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/4431127612.html
I ran the car fax report and it has had 3 previous owners (1 corporate lease, 2 private owners), and only has 2 service records listed. Carfax says it's worth $410 under retail book value.
The seller is asking $9,000. Kelly Blue Book lists its value at $5,800 to around $7,000. Subtract $400 due to car fax history and I get to $5,400-6,600. I just don't know what to rate it condition-wise on KBB.
What do you think would be a fair price for this car?
Cheers!
