Car is an 86 SPG with 69K miles.
I replaced the plugs (NGK BCPR6ES), distributor cap, rotor and air filter.
Since doing so I've noticed a couple of things.
First, the fuel economy has averaged 28 MPG (was 26). This is a good thing.
Second, when accelerating under load; for example climbing a hill, I can feel ignition misses from time to time. It certainly does not accelerate as hard as it used to. The turbo boost will now top out about mid way through the yellow.
It used to peak at the upper edge of the red band.
My guess is something wonky with the timing. I'll check that tonight / tomorrow.
What would you recommend as other possibilities?
