I'm helping a to try to resolve this weird issue that he is having.
The Problem :
Cold engine, try to start and it cranks but no start, after 10 cranks aprox it will fire up once and then will die again then you try to star up again and it will start maybe at second crank and then engine will rev up to 2500 rpm then it will go down to 900ish and then will sometimes die again or it will run fine after that and perfect idle THEN you stop the engine and then try to start it again and then THE SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!

So what we did :
Follow procedure to check hard start problem, injector issues and etc, all from bentley and saab original manual (240-71 etc....), so voltages in ICM, Air mass meter, injectors, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, jump some of the fuses etc etc etc...although we never got any voltage on the injectors when the key was set to on ( even on my 87 that starts with no problems )
Only thing we haven't ruled out it is the fuel pressure since my banjo bolt doesn't fit the fuel rail ( if someone know what type of banjo bolt is please let me know but all I can say it is not standard and it looks made specially for saab) but you can smell gas after cranking so much.
Parts we tested/swapped :
2 ECUs, 2 ICM, 2 AMM, FPR, Fuel pump, System and Fuel pump relay, Throttle body, Coil, Plugs, Cables and some other that I forgot.
The majority of this parts where tested in my 87 turbo and my car worked fine.
The only thing different between my car and his is that mine has that Relay for the lazy start on it ( Hard to start solution, thesaabsite if someone can explain where and why the voltage drop happend will be interesting to know)
This week my friend will swap injectors and hopefully we will be able to test fuel pressure.
Anyone has any ideas of what else it could be ?
This is a LH 2.2 by the way.
