I took my car in to have the wheels balanced this afternoon. I knew I had a coolant leak, but I'm not sure where it is coming from. The technician let me look at the car.
I do not think it is oil. 4,000 miles ago, I changed the power steering pump seal to prevent the contamination of engine oil and PS fluid. I flushed the PS fluid, and the overflow stopped. In 4k miles, the low oil indicator has not come on. I checked the dipstick and the oil is still full.
The funny thing is that the fluid looks like oil. However, I think it is the orange DexCool getting dirty as it travels down the engine compartment and leaks down. I do have to top up the coolant every week or so.
I circled in red where the coolant is leaking. I just went to the car wash before I had the tires rotated, so the leak is fresh.
Thanks!
