Hello Everyone
I'm the proud new owner my first ever saab a turbo x Combi. I'm also new to the forum and wish to say a big hello to everyone in the community.I live in Doha originally from the UK and bought my turbo x from another expat who's wife had been driving the car since purchase in 2009.

I managed to pick the car for a very good price and it only has 34400km and as you can imagine very clean.I love the exclusivity and the looks of the x and after many nights reading reviews, watching videos etc.. I decided to take the plunge in buying my first Saab.*

Now the has a couple of issues which all allowed me to negotiate the price:

1) the breaks are not very good and there is no initial bite, feel spongy, too much travel and* pressure required before the car starts to slow. I know the breaks should not be like this on a sports car so assume there maybe air in the line? The front pads were changed in the last service approx at 33000km.

2) the steering wheel pulls to the right when travelling slowly or crawling in traffic and more so when the break is applied at slow speed. Pulls less when get up to speed however there seems to be vibration shakes in the steering when at speeds of 60kmh above. At high speed the front end seems light and twitchy and not planted like my old r32 or bmw325i, is this characteristic of the x?

3) all of the wheels on the car are wrapped in 235/35 as opposed to the stock 235/45 and the front two tyres are different make to each other. The back two are the same. The expat was a lady who only had one tyre changed at a time, possible uneven wear going??

Could the vibrations and pulling be due to the tyre variation and incorrect size? The lady said she had the alignment done on the last service as the car steering was slightly off centre but I am skeptical. I also feel that the poor breaking response may also have something to do with the pulling to the right? warped rotor maybe?

I am planning to do the below in*that order and check after every one to see if I can eliminate these issues.

1) get all the wheels changed to the correct size and the same make - michelin super sports all round possibly (any other suggestions? all year round hot weather here, no rain) what's the optimum tyre pressure for such hot climate?

2) get full alignment done and check for loose parts

3) have the break lines bled

4) new rotors and pads (which performance aftermarket disc and pads would you suggest for the x. I do have plans on a tune at some point and naturally want the breaking power to be extensive prior to any tune, also front only or front and rear?

Sorry for the long initial post and many questions. But there is literally no Saab community out here and its my first ever Saab so your advice will be very valuable.
