Need Help With Stereo Problems (2005 9-3)

Alright guys, I have posted this several other places to try and find at least one person who can help me. It's kind of a long story but here we go.

Bought a 2005 9-3 Arc about 8 months ago. After 4 months the stereo just stopped working. So I took it to a local car audio shop who told me that the stereo had "internally failed" and could not be repaired (fiber optics). So I took it to another car audio shop who confirmed this. Then, when I had a new key programmed at the dealership I also had them look at it. The Saab tech (who is the only one within hours of me) confirmed that the stereo had "internal failure".

So long story short, not wanting to spend the money on a new stereo because I had other needs, I lived without a stereo for 3 months. Then all the sudden BAM. Stereo is working. But, it would make random loud popping noises over the speakers and the stereo would shut off and come back on. There would also be times where the stereo would completely shut off and not come back on for a day or two. So, back to the dealership I went. :evil:

The Saab Tech then told me that when he hooked up whatever programming thing they use (Tech II or whatever programs the electronics), he received no communication from the stereo itself. He told me that I needed to purchase the power module ($190 on eBay). He directly said "This will 100% fix it, there isn't anything else it could be" :confused:

So I went on eBay and bought the only one I could find online for $190. Got the part, installed it, and great, it worked! For a day, and now I have the same continuous problem. It will pop loudly and shut off. Other times it won't even come on when I start the car. I have looked online for hours and found no answers that help. Please, I hope someone out there has some kind of knowledge that will help solve this problem. ;ol;
