Hi everybody. I have a 95 2.0t automatic year 2000 and am being plagued by the central warning light after 30 minutes regular driving at idle speed. Any ideas most welcome?
There are no messages displayed by SID. The oil light used to flicker too. To cure that first we changed the oil pressure switch, no joy there. Then dropped the sump/gauze which didn't need much of a clean, again no joy. Then we noticed the slightest of clicks at the oil pump. Having changed the oil pump gears the oil pressure light no longer flickers.
still the central warning persists. Having read the handbook about possible reasons, abs, airbag ect I have inspected the dashboad before starting and all the bulbs are present and working.
