I have recently become a Saab owner with the 89 double O Turbo I picked up... I hate to admit that I have never really thought a lot of Saabs but that was because I knew nothing about them... now that I have spent many hours reading about them as I've researched doing a few repairs, I have to say I am impressed and now that I have driven it for a couple weeks I think they are pretty awesome cars... I have a issue with mine that I have been trying to run down... the fuel pump stays running regardless if the key is on or off... I have seen where a number of people have had this problem and a few have fix it by replacing the ECU... this acr had a 585 (I think) ecu in the car and a 570 in the trunk... with the 585 I can pull the fuse to turn the pump off but the oxy sensor is still active... the car seems to run good with the exception of a high idle at times... I switched to the 570 that came with the car to see if it was any good and the car seems to run fine but the pump still continues to run with the key off... not sure if the sensor is active or not and not done more than run the car in the driveway with the 570 ecu... I see records where the relay for the pump was just changed in an attempt to correct the problem... I don't know but maybe both ecu's faulty causing the fuel pump issue?? or would that be strange and more likely something different...
any suggestions on what the problem maybe
